Premier Pole Vault competition!

This years event will be held in Tad Gormley Stadium.

The event is sponsored by the Mardi Gras Track Club. This years event will include local high school, collegiate and open athlete pole vaulters. It will also feature Elite Competition from the NAPVA members as they add New Orleans to their list of competitive stops!

The track and field complex is just 10 minutes from downtown New Orleans. The track has an 8 (48") lane, polyurethane surface. All runways, including the javelin, are synthetic. Maximum of ¼" spikes are allowed.

This world class facility was a recent host for the 1992 Olympic Track and Field Trials as well as the 1996 USATF Nationals. With brand new equipment for the 2005 Junior Olympic Games, Tad Gormley is back to top performance stature.

Entree Fee: The entry fee for the 2007 event is $35 per athelete.
All entries will be taken via Direct Athletics
Entry deadline is Friday July 6th, 2007.

Important Note! This is also a Sanctioned AAU event. A current AAU membership card and signed waiver will be requested upon check-in. You can visit the national AAU site to apply for a current membership card online.

Entry Procedure: Entries must be submitted online via All entries will be taken via Direct Athletics with your entry fee, between 8:00 AM on Saturday, May 19th (CST) and 8:00 PM (CST) on Friday, July 6th, 2007. Go to Direct Athletics

Entry Limits: Division numbers and participants will be determined by the organizing boards. Flites and time will be posted the week of the event.
